Sporty Christmas to burn those Christmas Cookies

Powder

Christmas has arrived and we were back in the Alps. Ramsau am Dachstein again, what else 😉 As every year Christmas is the time with a lot of good food, all these great Cookies and having a great time together with family and friends.

In order to manage the balance between in- and output of calories we always mix it up with some sports activities. Mainly back country skiing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing and other fun activities in the snow.

Apropos snow; we have never experienced so much snow up here as this time. It was incredible and even more than last year. One could do the same back country tour several days in a row and still it would be different every time. Just because the conditions changed so dramatically from day to day.

This year we also decided to do all the visits of friends and family before Christmas Eve. Also because we thought that way, we would have a little more time to relax after a very stressful time in Autumn. Due to the snow that arrived right after Christmas Eve, it turned out that it also was a good decision taking the street conditions into consideration.

We had a nice tour through Slovenia, Graz and Bruck a.d. Mur and met up with family and friends. It was really a great and relaxed time with a lot of chatting, laughter and Christmas magic.

Finally back in Ramsau!

Enjoying our days off with back country tours and some cross country skiing in the beautiful area of Ramsau am Dachstein and Schladming. Instead of talking too much about the different tours we did, we thought we’d just share some impressions with you.

With that we wish you all a Happy New Year. We hope to see you again soon on our blog, while we are planning for the adventures 2019 will bring.
