Charlies Angels Re-Union in Berlin

Brandenburger Tor

Founded back in 2003 on the State Hesse project, Charlie and his Angels have been on several missions… During the last couple of years however, we never found the time for a revival until this fall: unfortunately, not all of Charlie’s angels could make it; for next time we have an ambition to change this 😉

The first evening was set-up for a get-together/welcome drink in the hotel lobby under the big Aquarium in the Radisson BLU Hotel in Berlin. Time to plan the mission for the next day.

The next day Katharina and myself had an appointment at the hairdresser of our choice to be ready for our mission. After a quick coffee break at the hotel, we took a tour to the Brandenburger Gate and the The Gate Museum. This museum just consists of two rooms, but is definitely a must visit in Berlin, constituting of a  great movie guiding you through 230 years of history within 20 minutes and an exibition room where you can read about the histroy in more detail.

After the obligatory history lesson, we went for a little shopping tour into the Mall of Berlin. A good idea, since everyone did the shopping already the day before (Black Friday). Thus it wasn’t as busy as you’d expect from a Saturday late afternoon.

Hungry from all the shopping and sightseeing we went out for Dinner at a great Austrian Restaurant named after a famous Austrian woman – Sissi. This is a restaurant we really can recommend as they serve the best Wienerschnitzel in town and other delicious Austrian Cuisine.

The next day Roland started with a “sightseeing run” to enjoy the empty streets – see some impressions from the run:

If you got inspired and want to do it yourself, here is the route – enjoy …

After the run Katharina and I went to one of our favourite breakfast location in Berlin, the Oxymoron in the complex called Hackesche Höfe. The Hackeschen Höfe are definitely a spot you should visit in Berlin.

From there we took a short tour through the Oranienburger Street and met up with Christiane to take the train to Casa Kiene. Our dear friends invited us for a (heat)warming pumpkin soup, a delicious Glühwein and some typical X-mas biscuits in front of their cosy fireplace.

The next mission is in the making. This time we promised not to wait as long again before we gather again. So stay tuned…
